During, and as a result of, the state budget impasse that lasted 736 days between 2015 and 2017, Illinois' General Funds backlog experienced record highs. This page allows visitors to view monthly charts from previous years of Illinois' General Funds backlog or accounts payable to see the record backlog highs that occurred during and following the disastrous budget impasse, and the progression to the accounts payable of today.
